Learn to play guitar the fun and easy way! In this six-week hands-on guitar class, learn to play the guitar through a simple and enjoyable process. Class covers all the basics, including proper hand positions, exercises to get those fingers moving, reading notes, playing open chords used in tons of popular songs, and a little bit of music theory to tie it all together. This proven, step-by-step approach makes learning fun and accessible for anyone, including a 92-years-young student who is still learning and improving — proof that it’s never too late to start! Just bring to class your acoustic, classical (nylon-string), or electric guitar (a small amp is fine, but not required). Registration is limited, so sign up today! Required textbook (please purchase before attending class): Hal Leonard Guitar Method, Second Edition – Complete Edition, by Will Schmid and Greg Koch (ISBN-13: 9780881881394). This book can also be used by students who will be attending the 5-Star Guitar II class. Materials fee $5 at class.
