This class is entry level and specifically NOT a Veterinary Technician class, which
requires a two-year degree program. Program includes 40-hour externship where
students receive hands-on training at a local veterinary practice or clinic.
The Veterinary Assistant Program
In this program, students will receive training on the
correct handling and care of pets, learn proper examina-
tion procedures, and discover how to check for signs of
illness and injury.
